Jeff is a tri-lingual (English/Mandarin/French) Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping adults navigate unforeseen complexity and stress in their lives. As a deeply empathetic individual, his career in mental health has been a natural calling. Leading with curiosity, kindness, and compassion, Jeff’s goal as a practitioner is to provide a space where clients can express themselves freely and to teach practical skills that help them live life with confidence. His areas of clinical focus include anxiety, geriatrics, and trauma-informed care. He often works well with clients who exhibit behaviors such as excessive worry or nervousness, existential questioning, self-harm, flashbacks, difficulty falling or staying asleep, being easily startled, or feeling socially isolated.
Jeff is also well-suited to help individuals manage chronic ailments, navigate life transitions, or plan for long-term care. In initial sessions, Jeff asks clients to describe the specific struggles that make them feel stuck and share what they would like to accomplish in their work together. From there, he tailors his approach to each individual, focusing on techniques that help them relate to others, feel more relaxed, set boundaries, and organize self-care. For those struggling with trauma and PTSD, Jeff strongly believes in a type of structured therapy called EMDR. This method has been extensively researched and is especially effective at helping individuals heal from past traumas, reduce distress, reprocess negative beliefs, and enhance emotional regulation. Although seeking help can be intimidating, Jeff believes the results can be profound and even life-changing. He considers it a privilege to guide and support his clients on their journey.
